Hello Tractor connects tractor owners to farmers through an Internet-of- Things (IoT) digital solution by supporting improved management of tractor businesses, ensuring tractor owner success, while connecting smallholder farmers to affordable, mechanized services. Hello Tractor has been operating in Nigeria since 2014 and is currently preparing to scale. This position is designed to assist Hello Tractor build a smallholder network and identify innovative solutions.

 

Job Summary

Hello Tractor is seeking a visionary Director of Partnerships to lead and expand our partnership ecosystem. This executive role is pivotal in developing strategic alliances across commercial, product, and philanthropic sectors, ensuring alignment with our mission to empower farmers through technology. The successful candidate will be a key in driving global growth and impact, creating value for both Hello Tractor and our diverse stakeholders.


We’re seeking a Partnerships Lead at Hello Tractor, where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and nurturing all partner relationships and projects from inception to conclusion. Your primary responsibility will be to align our partnership strategies with Hello Tractor’s commercial objectives, ensuring successful collaboration and project execution. This role requires a combination of strategic planning, project management, market analysis, and leadership skills.

Job specific Responsibilities & Accountabilities

    • Define and execute a dynamic partnerships strategy aligned with Hello Tractor’s mission to enhance farming efficiency for smallholder farmers globally.
    • Manage and deepen relationships with key partners, ensuring they are fully engaged and accountable to their commitments.
    • Lead negotiation and implementation of partnership agreements that drive innovation, scalability, and revenue growth.
    • Oversee the full partnership lifecycle, from identification through integration and performance evaluation, ensuring the achievement of strategic objectives and maximum impact.
    • Identify and invest in innovative and strategic alliances to enhance our product offerings.
    • Represent Hello Tractor in global forums and conferences, enhancing the company’s visibility and thought leadership in agricultural technology.
    • Develop metrics and systems to measure the effectiveness of partnerships and adjust strategies as necessary.
    • Lead and inspire both internal teams and external partners, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior partnerships or business development role, preferably in the technology or agricultural sectors.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing global partnerships and alliances.
    • Exceptional negotiation, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong leadership, judgment and strategic-visioning skills, including exceptional project management skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for persuasive presentations and stakeholder management.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment with quick turnarounds and a sense of urgency
    • Able to effectively manage people, processes and relationships in order to meet tight deadlines with high quality work products

 

Education

    • Bachelor’s degree required, Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred
