Job Summary

Hello Tractor has grown significantly in a short span of time in the African market. We now have a marketplace of over 3,000 Tractor owners and operators servicing over a half million smallholder farmers across 13 countries in Africa and 3 countries in Asia. However, despite the huge potential for the service, there is a shortage of tractors to fully service smallholder farmers’ demand for services and banks generally do not lend to rural communities. To address this, Hello Tractor recently launched a Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) tractor financing product in partnership with Moody’s and Mastercard to unlock low risk, low-cost tractor financing for rural, under-banked entrepreneurs servicing smallholder farmers.

Hello Tractor has a fantastic opportunity for a PAYG Junior Collections Officer. Working closely with the Collections Manager, the job holder will ensure that all PAYG facilities are fully repaid as stipulated in the terms and conditions to prevent loss to the institution due to prompt non-repayment . He/she will have specific emphasis on Collection of 1-30 days past due (DPD) for PAYG facilities with the main aim of ensuring lowest graduation to NPL.

Key Responsibilities

• • Monitoring and control of assigned Asset Portfolio using company software.
  • Ensuring adherence to payment schedules through proactive follow up calls and reminders.
  • In case of clients overdue, identifying and implementing the most efficient debt recovery methods and techniques.
  • Following up on phone calls with overdue clients to ensure debtor’s accounts are up to date.
  • Maintaining records about clients’ financial status, reporting daily to the management.
  • Developing and strengthening clients’ relationships, regularly updating clients on Company policies and new products, providing tailor-made financial solutions through the range of products offered by the Company.
  • Providing training and sharing knowledge with Interns/Trainees employed by the Company.
  • Any other duty as may be assigned by the management.

Qualifications

• • At least 2 years’ collections experience (Fintech, banking or micro finance preferred).
  • Familiarization with client relationship management tools/software experience preferred.

   

Education

• • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent.
