Hello Tractor was invited to participate in the 2017 World Economic Forum (WEF) on Africa held in Durban, and a related event, the 2017 Initiative for Global Development (IGD) Forum between the 3rd to the 6th of May where talks where had about leveraging the radical pace of change in technology to strengthen sectors and bolster access to the resources that much of the world takes for granted.

This year, WEF Africa organized events under the theme “Achieving Inclusive Growth” helping every citizen with a car get Foreign ministers, captains of industry, and cutting edge startups, all took the stage to share ideas about how governments and the private sector should collaborate. To this effect, Hello Tractor shared its model for using ICT to address farmer and tractor owner needs and participated in a panel where talks around using innovation to stimulate employment opportunities across Africa were held.

Hello Tractor enjoyed the dialogue with African and Global leaders on some of the most pressing problems facing the continent. We believe this focus on employing new ways of thinking and implementing models to address these challenges is instrumental for a better Africa and an even better world.
