On October 29th and 31st, Hello Tractor conducted technical trainings with seven service providers in northern Mozambique. The trainings were held in Nampula and Mocuba in the Nacala Corridor. In partnership with Feed the Future – RAMA Nacala Corridor and Winrock, Hello Tractor has supported mechanization service providers to power their tractors with the Hello Tractor technology. During the training, Jehiel Oliver, spoke with our customers about the challenges they were facing in the market and how we could better support them.
As we enter new and different markets, we learn about the opportunities and challenges that service providers have in managing their fleets of tractors and servicing farmers. We also adapt our responses to our customers’ needs to provide improved user experience. To support our Mozambique customers, we developed digital collateral in Portuguese. In addition to the trainings, Jehiel was also able to attend meetings with ADVZ Mozambique & the Agrarian Development Fund (FDA), an arm of the Ministry of Agriculture in Mozambique that deals with finding solutions for agrarian development issues within the country. Both groups expressed interest in exploring our technology for their network of tractors to help them greatly save costs on tracking their tractors.
